Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965) is an American actor from America. She is most famous for her role as the deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the end of the seventh season the series was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian, with English heritage. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and claims she goes to Passover seders.
